Guided fishing

Guided bass fishing on Lake Keowee for either 1 or 2 anglers. Trips last four (half day) or eight (full day) hours. Start times vary with seasonal patterns. All equipment and tackle provided. You will need a valid SC fishing license.

Education about Keowee

Lake Keowee has a reputation for being a difficult lake to fish. With it's clear, deep water and lack of structure, Keowee is very different from most southern lakes. Don't be frustrated with lack of success on Keowee - I can help!

training/practice

During our trip, we will use equipment and tackle that is suited to Lake Keowee. This allows you to see what works before investing in a lot of tackle not compatible with fishing here. The heart of my guide service is to share as much information and local knowledge with you as possible!

Electronics

At times, it is very important to use electronics to target bass on the lake. I am very familiar with Humminbird and Lowrance products and can help you get the images needed to target suspended and deep bass. In 2020, I added Garmin Livescope to my boat - training and setup is available for this as well. This is particularly helpful in the fall and winter months.

Fishing Reports

I provide weekly fishing reports to Anglers Headquarters. My reports are also published on the SC DNR website. If you are an existing customer, contact me anytime for the latest trends on the lake. This is a valuable service if you are coming to Keowee!

Local Knowledge

I have fished Keowee since 1996. Upon moving to the lake, I spent a lot of time learning seasonal patterns and how to fish deep using electronics. My goal is to provide education that you can put to use on Keowee.
